Machado Silvetti is pleased to announce that Austin Ward has been promoted to the position of Associate.
S. Austin Ward is a licensed architect and urban designer. Since joining Machado Silvetti in 2019 he has contributed to the design of various cultural projects in the office. Currently, he is the project manager leading design efforts for both the Cary Downtown Park and the New Bedford Museum of Art.
Background
Prior to joining Machado Silvetti, Austin’s professional experience included working with nationally recognized architecture practices in Boston, including designLAB Architects, and NADAAA. His experience extends through all phases of design and construction including a number of renovation and adaptive re-use projects, within historic and culturally sensitive contexts.
Austin holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design with Distinction from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he received the Award for Outstanding Leadership in Urban Design. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture & Design.
The Associate position at Machado Silvetti has been an integral role throughout the history of the firm. Associates bring their unique experience, outlook and interests to bear in the management and execution of the firm’s diverse projects.
