On October 7, 2017, at the 12th Annual PAAM Benefit Gala, Rodolfo Machado and Jorge Silvetti were honored by the Provincetown Art Association Museum for their work designing the new addition and renovation of the Museum. Together, Rodolfo and Jorge were presented with the Award for Artful Architectural Excellence and Collaborative Transformation of PAAM.

Since its completion in 2005, the PAAM building has been recognized with numerous awards and was the first LEED Silver certified museum in the United State

  • Rodolfo Machado was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1942 and is a citizen of the United States, where he has resided since 1968. Rodolfo received his Diploma in Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1967. During the academic year 1967-68 he studied urban design at the Centre de Recherche d'Urbanisme, in Paris, France and in 1971 received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of California at Berkeley where he continued doctoral studies in architectural theory until 1973. Rodolfo practiced architecture in San Francisco, California and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before associating with Jorge Silvetti in 1974 with whom he incorporated the practice in 1985.   • Jorge Silvetti was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he received his diploma in architecture from the University of Buenos Aires. He continued studies at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving his Master of Architecture degree and pursuing post graduate work in the area of architectural theory and criticism.
